Great "seasonal" choice! :)kitchen flavourshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13556865191279476910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120436341331198325.post-23182226129451939102013-11-11T09:03:31.532+08:002013-11-11T09:03:31.532+08:00I have only eaten beets a few times but I have nev...I have only eaten beets a few times but I have never prepared them myself! I would cut the sugar too--beets, especially when roasted and plenty sweet on their own. ;-)Deb in Hawaiihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12753889028487254096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120436341331198325.post-13284014412431567012013-11-11T05:20:44.267+08:002013-11-11T05:20:44.267+08:00Mmmm! Beet root prepared this way is an excellent side to our roasted meat dishes, but also as a prepared ingredient for other dishes like salads or pickled onions or hash. Beetroot is such a versatile vegetable! You've given us a great dish here!Susan Lindquisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04039551683129884367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120436341331198325.post-86284752074962677302013-11-10T22:58:12.331+08:002013-11-10T22:58:12.331+08:00I'm a fan of beets prepared any number of ways...I'm a fan of beets prepared any number of ways but I do like them best when there's something to counter their sweetness, like vinegar. I can imagine they'd be quite delicious with balsamic.Zosiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09956811645967568532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120436341331198325.post-15046853141459526972013-11-10T20:27:21.936+08:002013-11-10T20:27:21.936+08:00I love your choice and I can find beets pretty muc...I love your choice and I can find beets pretty much all year around for some reason, imported or freshly grown nearby. That said, I always think they are a pain to roast or make because they are so RED (I need to find and try the yellow ones for sure) and leave my hands and everything else full of stains, so I often resort to adding pickled beet to salads and other things because I love their taste as well. I need to venture out more as I like the sounds of all the benefits you list.Kaytehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04892296035070233639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120436341331198325.post-43595545557207238872013-11-10T17:22:18.304+08:002013-11-10T17:22:18.304+08:00Delicious, Joy. I think I agree with you about the sugar though - beetroot is so inherently sweet already that I don't think it needs a great deal of extra sweetness.Couscous & Consciousnesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06616224893242380904noreply@blogger.com
